Who doesn't love this?

Pea green and royal purple have no peer, but seriously, even if you know nothing about graphic design and you hate this palette, you have to admit, this kicks some crazy ass. A few probs, but really ... aesthetically, it's mad wicked, ayuh?

It has come to this

I'm thinking about going home, taking a shower, getting my jammies and coming back to go to sleep here in the office. With the AC turned off, it is tolerably comfortable. I have a little bedroll in the armoire in my office. I have a blankie. I have toothpaste. There are seven bathrooms to choose from. There is broadband. And there is a kitchen.

And I cannot ABIDE the idea of getting out into that TRAFFIC any more than absolutely, unavoidably necessary. The frikken snowbirds have returned early to check their winter homes here in Florida, and of course, now that they are here, they might as well stay right through, right? Is this what it's come to, this global warming? Hurricane season longer and later and tourist season longer and sooner? It's simply intolerable. They are committing Buick offenses right and left. They are craning their necks and surveying the damage, and their looky-loo behavior is a life-threatening hazard to navigation. I do not even have an up-high car anymore to improve my vantage point for anticipating their impending Buick offenses. Furthermore, they have NO BUSINESS being here until AFTER XMAS!!! Except Mrs. Fishbein. She may be here, because she made herself useful as soon as she arrived. And Irv and Dovie. Irv and Dovie are always welcome home, no matter when.

Oh, but the rest of them, good GOD, what wrath have You visited upon us? I will never survive an extra two months of Season. I will jam a pencil in my eye. I will start a whole separate blog just to rant about commuting. I will practice witchcraft and throw hexes and make my children ride the city bus. I will give up driving altogether and simply live in my office until after Easter.

Maybe I'll just move to South Carolina.
